Assumptions & Methodologies

We analyzed established, currently observable U.S. e-receipt panelists whose last CapCut receipt fell from June 2024–March 2026. A new paid rival required a receipt within 120 days after lapse and none in the prior 365 days. Pre/post groups split at May 2025, when the median Apple-billed CapCut order rose from $9.99 to $19.99. Reactivation used first-lapse cohorts with at least eight months of follow-up. Free editors and CapCut’s free tier are invisible. Receipt cadence makes lapse timing approximate, and billing-template coverage changed. Results do not prove the price change caused lapses and are not market totals.
