How many EZVIZ-first buyers later bought another camera brand?

Among repeat camera buyers whose first observed brand was EZVIZ, 52.6% later bought at least one tracked competitor. The comparable shares were ~24% for Blink-first buyers and ~21% for Ring-first buyers. A competitor purchase does not show whether the original camera stopped being used.

Which brands did EZVIZ-first buyers purchase later?

Among EZVIZ-first buyers who later bought a tracked competitor, 38% bought Blink and 27% bought Ring. A buyer could appear in more than one destination because the analysis followed all later purchases rather than assigning a single switch.

Was the gap limited to one entry year?

No. Among buyers grouped by the year of their first observed camera-brand purchase from 2021–2024, the share who later bought a competitor without rebuying EZVIZ stayed between 33% and 39%. Ring and Blink stayed between 14% and 18% over those years. EZVIZ’s yearly samples ranged from 126 to 227 repeat buyers, so treat the exact yearly percentages as approximate.

Assumptions & Methodologies

We analyzed U.S. Amazon line-item camera purchases observed in YipitData’s e-receipt panel from 2019 through 2026. Entry brand was the first observed camera brand, and later purchases had to occur strictly after that date. The main cohort included 871 EZVIZ-first buyers with another observed camera purchase. Results exclude purchases outside Amazon and do not capture EZVIZ CloudPlay. First observed brand may not be a household’s first-ever camera, and purchases do not prove device use, replacement, satisfaction, or why a buyer changed brands.
