GameChanger payers were far more likely to have no tracked paid youth-sports app next year than to pay a rival

Chart data
| Series | Share of prior-year GameChanger payers |
|---|---|
| No tracked paid youth-sports app | 41% |
| Paid a tracked rival | 2.8% |
How often did current GameChanger payers also pay a rival youth-sports app?
Among 4,787 GameChanger payers observed from August 2025 through July 2026, 2.6% also paid at least one tracked rival and 1.6% paid TeamSnap specifically. Most GameChanger payers did not also pay a tracked rival app, although organization-paid rival access was not measured.
Does the missing paid receipt mean a family left GameChanger or youth sports?
Not necessarily. A subscriber without a later paid receipt may have moved to GameChanger’s free tier or stopped paying after a season ended. The result shows missing tracked paid-app receipts rather than switching to a tracked rival; it does not measure free-tier use or participation in youth sports.
Assumptions & Methodologies
We identified U.S. e-receipt panelists with Apple or Google receipts naming a paid GameChanger plan in August 2024–July 2025 and followed 4,213 payers who remained observable in the panel through August 2025–July 2026. A rival payment was a receipt for TeamSnap, SportsEngine, Sports Connect, or BenchApp. No tracked paid app means none of those receipts and no later GameChanger payment appeared in the outcome year. Free-tier use, organization-paid access, and some web billing are not observed, so the result describes consumer-paid receipt activity rather than departure from GameChanger or youth sports.
