How often did the GameHouse and platform-bundle receipts appear in the same year?
For 88 of the 266 GameHouse subscribers, or 32.8%, a GameHouse receipt and an Apple Arcade or Google Play Pass receipt appeared in the same calendar year. Apple Arcade appeared among 89 subscribers and Google Play Pass among 40; some subscribers had both. Receipts in the same calendar year do not prove that both subscriptions were active at the same time or show which came first.
Was the overlap limited to people who paid for many kinds of subscriptions?
The game-bundle gap was the largest measured comparison: 46.6% of GameHouse subscribers versus 4.7% of non-GameHouse female app-store users age 45+, or about 10×. Other casual-game receipts appeared among 72.9% versus 17.4%, about 4.2×, while a streaming-video comparison appeared among 53.4% versus 17.3%, about 3.1×. The benchmark aligns with GameHouse subscribers on age and gender, not gaming behavior, so these differences remain associative.
Assumptions & Methodologies
We analyzed YipitData’s U.S. e-receipt panel from January 2023–August 2026. The cohort comprised 266 Apple or Google subscribers whose receipts named GameHouse, gamehouse+, GameHouse Original Stories, or a GameHouse title. The benchmark was 253,093 non-GameHouse female app-store users age 45+. Bundle overlap required an Apple Arcade or Google Play Pass receipt; same-year overlap means both receipt types appeared in the same calendar year. The 266-person GameHouse cohort is too small for precise population estimates. The benchmark was not matched on gaming behavior, receipt templates can be missed, and overlap does not establish sequence or causation.
