Source: YipitData U.S. e-receipt panel. Notion adopters n=2,594; productivity-software benchmark n=57,969. The Notion cohort includes paid and trial adopters. App-store billing is not fully observed, so ChatGPT and total standalone AI rates are floors.

Did Notion adopters’ higher AI overlap persist over time?
Yes. In fixed cohorts, standalone AI holding among Notion adopters rose from 13.5% in the first half of 2024 to 36.4% in the first half of 2026. The productivity-software benchmark rose from 5.2% to 16.3% over the same period, widening Notion’s absolute lead from about 8 percentage points to about 20 points. These half-year trend windows differ from the trailing 12-month headline window and are not directly comparable with it.
Assumptions & Methodologies
We analyzed YipitData’s U.S. e-receipt panel. The trailing 12-month comparison covers Aug. 2025–Jul. 2026 and includes 2,594 direct Notion adopters and 57,969 users in a productivity-software benchmark covering Canva, Dropbox, Grammarly, 1Password, Figma, Evernote, Airtable, ClickUp, and Asana, while excluding Notion. Direct Notion receipts include both paid and trial adopters. Standalone AI includes observed paid signals for Claude, ChatGPT, and Perplexity. App-store billing is not fully observed, particularly for ChatGPT, so provider and total AI rates are floors. The fixed-cohort trend contains 8,864 Notion adopters and 103,827 benchmark users and compares six-month windows, which are not directly comparable with the trailing 12-month headline. Results describe co-holding, not which product came first, substitution, retention, or causation.
