Insight 1 of 2

More than half of SoundCloud Go+ subscribers also paid a primary music service

Share concurrently holding a primary music service in H1 2025, compared with primary-service cohorts holding another primary service

Source: YipitData U.S. e-receipt panel. SoundCloud Go+ n=891; Spotify n=42,141; Apple Music n=69,932; YouTube Music n=43,000. Receipt capture is incomplete, so overlap rates are floors.

Which primary music services appeared most often with SoundCloud Go+?

Apple Music appeared for 33.2% of SoundCloud Go+ subscribers, followed by YouTube Music or YouTube Premium at 21.7% and Spotify at 11.6%. Amazon Music reached 3.1% and TIDAL reached 2.4%. Apple-billed subscriptions were better observed in this SoundCloud cohort than direct-billed Spotify, so the service mix is less reliable than the overall overlap rate.

Insight 2 of 2

SoundCloud continuation differed by 0.7 percentage points for subscribers with and without a primary music service

Share of the fixed H1 2025 SoundCloud Go+ cohort with any SoundCloud receipt in H1 2026, split by captured primary-service holding in H1 2025

Source: YipitData U.S. e-receipt panel. With a primary service n=486; without one n=405. The 0.7-point gap was smaller than the ~3.4-point standard error. Incomplete receipt capture lowers both continuation rates.

Assumptions & Methodologies

We analyzed our U.S. e-receipt panel for 891 established, still-active panelists with a SoundCloud Go+ receipt in H1 2025. Primary music services were Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music or YouTube Premium, Amazon Music, and TIDAL. Overlap required a receipt in the same H1 2025 window and does not establish sequence. Continuation required any SoundCloud receipt in H1 2026. Incomplete receipt capture makes both measures floors. Apple-billed services are better observed for iOS users than direct-billed Spotify, and some subscribers classified without a primary service may hold one through an unconnected inbox.
