Which paid subscriptions were unusually common among AccuWeather subscribers?
Paid news was the sharpest measured distinction: 12.9% of active AccuWeather subscribers paid for The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, or The Washington Post, compared with 3.3% of our active panelists. That was approximately 3.9 times the comparison rate. SiriusXM reached 20.8% compared with 10.1%, while Spotify reached 23.4% compared with 12.4%. Across the measured categories, AccuWeather subscribers consistently held more paid content than our active panelists.

The cohort included 2,206 active AccuWeather subscribers with a latest signal of active or billing and no later cancellation. The comparison group included 831,992 of our active panelists with subscription receipts during the period. Co-held services were identified using merchant names and email subjects. Paid news groups The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and The Washington Post; premium streaming groups Peacock, Paramount+, HBO, and Disney. The displayed multiples divide AccuWeather co-hold rates by comparison rates; 1.0 means equally likely.
