Does no tracked payment mean that a lapser stopped making videos?

No. The card panel does not observe free plans or some app-store billing, including much of CapCut. The 61.2% result therefore means that no payment appeared at the tracked creative-software merchants; it does not show that the person stopped creating videos or stopped using free tools.

Assumptions & Methodologies

We analyzed YipitData’s U.S. Credit & Debit Panel from 2021–August 2026. Animoto and competitors used normalized merchant identities. A dual payer had at least one payment to Animoto and the named rival; keeping only one meant only one remained active in the trailing 12 months. The lapse cohort contained 338 subscribers whose final Animoto charge was August 2023–February 2025, providing at least 18 months of observation. A new competitor appeared after lapse but not in the prior year. Free and app-store-billed tools are invisible, and terminal payment status does not establish cancellation order, substitution, product use, or causation.
