How long after the last BetterMe receipt did the first GLP-1-related receipt appear?

The median gap was 431 days, or about 14 months, among BetterMe subscribers whose first GLP-1-related receipt followed their first BetterMe receipt. Only 13% showed another BetterMe payment after the GLP-1-related receipt.

How common were GLP-1-related receipts among BetterMe subscribers?

A GLP-1 drug or weight-loss telehealth receipt appeared among 3.42% of 3,689 BetterMe weight-loss subscribers, versus 1.35% of the general panel, or 2.53× the benchmark rate. Named-drug receipts alone appeared at 1.00% versus 0.27%, or 3.70×.

Assumptions & Methodologies

We analyzed our U.S. e-receipt panel from 2021 through 2026. BetterMe subscribers had Apple or Google receipts naming its weight-loss products. GLP-1-related receipts named Zepbound, Wegovy, Ozempic, Mounjaro, semaglutide, or tirzepatide; the broader measure also included Hims and Ro telehealth billers and is less specific. The sequence required the first GLP-1-related receipt on or after the first BetterMe receipt, and timing used the last BetterMe receipt. App-store receipts do not always show explicit cancellation, insurance-paid pharmacy fills are undercaptured, and the 108-person cohort is directional. The analysis establishes order, not that GLP-1 use caused BetterMe payments to stop.
