Did ChatGPT also remain visible more often than Filmora?

Yes. Among 710 app-store subscribers who had paid both Filmora and ChatGPT, 81.0% had a ChatGPT receipt from August 17, 2025–August 17, 2026, compared with 45.8% with a Filmora receipt. ChatGPT also bills heavily through the web, so this comparison covers only its app-store subscribers.

Was Filmora usually added after CapCut or ChatGPT?

No. Filmora appeared first for 51% of Filmora and CapCut dual subscribers and 58% of Filmora and ChatGPT dual subscribers. When the two last receipts were at least 90 days apart, CapCut ended later 4.5 times as often as Filmora; ChatGPT ended later 8.5 times as often. Receipt order does not establish product use or why a payment ended.

Does the later receipt pattern prove that CapCut or ChatGPT caused Filmora cancellations?

No. The analysis measures receipt timing and does not observe product use, cancellation reasons, or spending after a Filmora payment ended. It covers Filmora’s U.S. mobile app-store subscribers, not direct-web desktop buyers or perpetual licenses. Annual billing and incomplete receipt capture can also affect exact persistence rates.

Assumptions & Methodologies

We analyzed YipitData’s U.S. e-receipt panel. Filmora, CapCut, and ChatGPT subscribers had Apple or Google receipts naming the product from January 2024–August 2026. Shared cohorts contained 767 Filmora and CapCut subscribers and 710 Filmora and ChatGPT subscribers. Later receipt presence used August 17, 2025–August 17, 2026 so annual plans had a full year to appear. A separate comparison required one product’s last receipt to follow the other by at least 90 days. Direct-web billing and perpetual Filmora licenses are absent. Receipts do not measure use, cancellation, substitution, or causality.
