| Series | Median trailing-12-month spend |
|---|---|
| GoDaddy spend among dual customers | 276.05$ |
| Network Solutions spend among dual customers | 197.88$ |
How common was GoDaddy overlap among Network Solutions customers?
Of roughly 6,000 active Network Solutions customers, 964, or 16.1%, also paid GoDaddy from July 2025 through June 2026. Those dual customers paid a mean $1,150 to GoDaddy and $611 to Network Solutions. The lower medians shown in the comparison reduce the influence of unusually large accounts and still show higher GoDaddy spend.
Did dual customers pay Network Solutions again less often?
No. In a separate fully observed cohort established in 2024, 72.8% of dual customers paid Network Solutions again from July 2025 through June 2026, compared with 67.2% of Network Solutions-only customers. The supplied research did not report the exact group counts for this comparison. The groups are self-selected and likely differ in business size, so the later payment does not show that using GoDaddy improves continuous retention.
Assumptions & Methodologies
We analyzed YipitData’s U.S. debit/credit card panel. Active customers paid Network Solutions or GoDaddy from July 2025 through June 2026. Network Solutions included cleaned Network Solutions, Netsol, and Web.com descriptors; unrelated matches were removed. GoDaddy included first-party billing and excluded GoDaddy Payments. The separate later-payment comparison required a 2024 Network Solutions payment and another payment in the later 12-month window; it did not require uninterrupted service. Card data cannot identify which domains, hosting, security, or other products were purchased, so spend is not a like-for-like price comparison. Results do not establish cause or adoption order.
