How much rideshare activity did heavy ParkMobile users show?

Heavy ParkMobile users who rode with Uber or Lyft averaged 34.2 rideshare trips during the year, alongside approximately 47 ParkMobile sessions. Across all ParkMobile parkers, 54.2% had an Uber or Lyft receipt. The same-period overlap does not reveal whether a rideshare trip replaced a parking session.

Was high rideshare use unique to ParkMobile?

No. Rideshare receipts appeared for 55.1% of Passport parkers and 48.0% of ParkWhiz parkers during the same period. That comparison indicates that high rideshare use is common among paid-parking users rather than a ParkMobile-specific advantage.

Assumptions & Methodologies

We analyzed established U.S. e-receipt panelists who remained active through July 2026. ParkMobile users had at least one session receipt from August 2025–July 2026; rideshare meant at least one Uber or Lyft receipt in the same period. Parking intensity was based on ParkMobile session count. Email receipts may miss purchases or split one person across inboxes, and the panel skews somewhat urban and upper-middle income. SpotHero and PayByPhone were not observable. The results measure same-window behavior, not trip-level substitution, sequence, or causality.
