How often did Tagged payers also pay a swipe-dating app?

Among the 427 Tagged payers, 149, or 34.9%, also had a payment to a tracked swipe-dating app during the same 24-month window. The concurrent payments show that Tagged often appeared alongside another dating app, but they do not establish which app a person considered primary or when each relationship began.

Were Tagged payers with live-gifting overlap more active on Tagged?

The 33 Tagged payers who also paid an external live-gifting app averaged 10.8 Tagged orders, compared with 6.1 among other Tagged payers. They were also more likely to spend at least $100 on Tagged, at 27.3% versus 15.3%. Their median Tagged spending was lower, however, at $19.45 versus $30.75, so the evidence does not support describing the entire small group as Tagged’s highest-value payers.

Does the overlap show that payers switched between the apps?

No. The analysis measured whether payments to both types of app appeared anywhere in the same 24-month window. It did not sequence payments or measure app usage, gifting behavior, advertising exposure, or free activity. The result identifies a shared paid audience rather than substitution or switching.

Assumptions & Methodologies

We analyzed YipitData’s U.S. e-receipt panel, August 2024–August 2026. Tagged payers had an Apple or Google receipt naming Tagged. The swipe-dating benchmark included Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, Grindr, OkCupid, Plenty of Fish, Zoosk, Badoo, Hily, or Feeld payers and excluded Tagged payers. The external live-video and chat set included BIGO LIVE, Mico, SUGO, Poppo Live, Chamet, Joi, and Litmatch; Tagged’s sister app MeetMe and mobile-game currency were excluded. App-store receipts do not capture all purchases or distinguish every Apple-billed product. Only 33 Tagged payers had the overlap, so its exact rate is uncertain, not a market estimate.
