VIZIO TV buyers more often put at least 66% of Amazon-Walmart online spend at Amazon
Share of active-panel TV-buyer households with at least 66% of observed non-TV Amazon and Walmart-online spend at Amazon, Aug. 2025–Jul. 2026
Share of TV-buyer households classified as Amazon-primary
Source: YipitData U.S. Physical Receipt Panel. VIZIO n=121,197; onn n=134,458. Cross-brand ordering is more reliable than absolute Amazon-Walmart levels.
Chart data
| Series | Share of TV-buyer households classified as Amazon-primary |
|---|---|
| VIZIO TV buyers | 39.9% |
| onn TV buyers | 35.7% |
How was the rest of VIZIO households’ observed online wallet distributed?
Among VIZIO TV buyers, 15.8% were Walmart-primary, 13.9% were balanced between Amazon and Walmart online, and 30.5% had no observed connected-account spend at either retailer. The classification excludes the TV purchase itself.
How much observed online spend did VIZIO households direct to each retailer?
VIZIO households recorded $328.9 million at Amazon and $181.4 million at Walmart online, or $1.81 at Amazon per $1.00 at Walmart online. These are unscaled panel dollars, and unequal connected-account capture makes the absolute ratio directional.
Assumptions & Methodologies
We analyzed YipitData’s U.S. Physical Receipt Panel, including connected-account Amazon and Walmart-online purchases. Groups were households that bought a VIZIO or onn TV from August 1, 2025–July 31, 2026. We excluded the TV purchase and classified remaining online spend as Amazon-primary at 66% or more Amazon, Walmart-primary below 34% Amazon, balanced otherwise, or none. Connected-account capture is not proportional, so the cross-brand comparison is more reliable than absolute levels. The metric excludes Walmart stores, groups can overlap, and the snapshot does not show that TV ownership caused the behavior.
