Chart data
| Series | Share with a Wix or Squarespace owner receipt |

| Retained Weebly owners | 4.6% |
How often did the rival-builder receipt appear after the last Weebly payment?
Among the 52 lapsed owners who also had a Wix or Squarespace owner receipt, 27 first appeared at the rival only after their final Weebly payment. Just 1 of the 12 retained owners with rival overlap showed that order. Lapsed owners had longer observation windows, so these counts establish sequence but not the size of the difference.
How many owners were still paying a rival in the latest 12 months?
A Wix or Squarespace owner receipt appeared in the latest 12 months for 3.0% of lapsed Weebly owners and 1.9% of retained owners. The counts were 17 and 5, so the percentages are directional. Most lapsed owners had no observed payment to either measured rival.
Did the difference extend to general website spending?
No. When GoDaddy domain payments were added, 23.6% of lapsed owners and 21.8% of retained owners had an adjacent website receipt. The narrower gap indicates that the larger difference was specific to the two measured website builders rather than to domain spending overall.
Assumptions & Methodologies
We analyzed YipitData’s U.S. e-receipt panel. Weebly owners had paid-plan or site-plan receipt signals; consumer checkout receipts from Weebly-powered stores were excluded. Lapsed owners last paid Weebly in 2022–2024, while retained owners paid in 2025 or later. Competitors required a Wix Premium or Squarespace website-owner receipt. Square Online billing could not be isolated, competitor overlap is a floor, and lapsed owners had longer post-Weebly observation. The cohorts and overlap counts are modest, so results are directional and do not establish why an owner left or whether a rival replaced Weebly.
