73.6% of Wyze Camera Owners Had No Tracked Camera-Cloud Subscription

From January 2024 through July 2026, 73.6% of 10,591 Wyze camera owners had no tracked camera-cloud subscription; 24.5% paid Wyze.

Nearly three-quarters of Wyze camera owners had no tracked cloud plan

Share with each observed cloud-subscription status, January 2024–July 2026; Wyze and rival paid-plan categories can overlap, so shares do not sum to 100%

Source: YipitData U.S. e-receipt panel. Wyze camera-owner cohort n=10,591. Wyze and rival paid-plan categories can overlap. Rival cloud subscriptions billed directly or through Amazon are undercaptured, so the 3.0% rival share is a floor and the no-plan share may be overstated.

Did owners with a tracked rival cloud plan pay Wyze less often?

No in this cross-sectional comparison. Among 320 Wyze owners with a tracked rival cloud subscription, 36.3% also paid a Wyze cloud plan. The comparable Wyze attach rate was 24.1% among 10,271 owners without a tracked rival plan. The groups can hold both plans, and the comparison does not establish purchase order or why either subscription was kept.

Did owning another camera system correspond with lower Wyze cloud attach?

Only slightly. Among 3,453 Wyze owners who also bought a rival camera, 23.1% paid a Wyze cloud plan, compared with 25.1% of 7,138 Wyze-only owners. Camera purchases and subscriptions were observed within the same period, so the analysis does not show which system entered the home first or whether both remained active.

Can the panel identify every rival cloud subscription?

No. Wyze and Google-billed subscriptions are captured more cleanly than Ring, Blink, or Arlo plans billed through Amazon or directly. As a result, the tracked rival share is a conservative floor and some owners classified with no plan may pay through an unobserved channel. The article reports observed receipt status rather than total-market subscription attach.

Assumptions & Methodologies

We analyzed our U.S. e-receipt panel from January 2024 through July 2026. Wyze camera owners had a hardware receipt from Amazon or another major retailer and were present before the window and recently active. Wyze cloud covered Cam Plus and Cam Unlimited receipts; tracked rivals covered identifiable camera-cloud plans. Hardware and subscription receipts were measured as co-occurrence within the window. Direct and Amazon billing is undercaptured for several rivals, ownership is based on observed purchases rather than the full installed base, and the design does not establish sequence, switching, or causality.
